Death's Head Owl

Kairegorn's largest owl (with a 10-foot wingspan), this bird is highly feared for its black and white markings. Though not dangerous by any means and quite friendly overall for a bird of prey, people avoid this animal, as many are convinced it brings bad luck and evil omens. Its wail-like cries are used to proclaim territory and frighten away nest robbers such as weasels and polecats. When hunting, Death's Head Owls can emit clouds of magic from their feathers, blinding their prey of rodents, rabbits, skunks, wolves, and deer in darkness, allowing the bird to kill its victim without it having the chance to strike back.
