Dragon Battle: Red vs Gold

    The first time the dragon riders Seleena and Galadren and their dragons Scorchlight and Shrike battled. At the time of this fight, Scorchlight was barely 30 feet from head to tail while Shrike was 120 feet long, 4 times Scorchlight's size. In their battle above Galadren's fortress, towers were leveled and ricocheting magic the four combatants cast killed or wounded many on the opposing sides of their respective armies. Unable to call on their teachers, Kaine Dragonheart and Thorinen, Scorchlight and Seleena were forced to fight the evil generals alone. When the combatants clashed together, the duel spiraled into a free fall battle, in which Galadren pierced Seleena's heart as Shrike began battling the much younger dragon and tried to incinerate him. However, as Galadren removed his sword, Seleena sprang back at him, revealing herself as the granddaughter of Vampire King Valinar Lirnna, and in retaliation for his death at Galadren's hands, she impaled the sadistic Dark Corps Commander on her own sword, killing him. Scorchlight then used this distraction to punch his claws through Shrike's chest, ripping out the larger dragon's heart and bringing victory to the Order of the Dragon Riders. Since then, the young students have been greatly admired and respected for this feat and praised as heroes among many.
