Scorchlight: Black and White

     The draconic apprentice of Kaine Dragonheart and Thorinen and the bonded steed and partner of Seleena Lirnna, their human apprentice, Scorchlight is a beautiful young male dragon. In appearance he is powerfully built and immensely strong, even more imposing in appearance than Thorinen. Still growing, Scorchlight measures almost 70 feet from nose to tail tip at two years of age. Given his proportions and his spectacular growth, Thorinen is confident in estimating that Scorchlight will grow even bigger than average for a dragon: possibly between 150-200 feet long by the time he is mature at four years old.  

        Scorchlight is incredibly astute, loyal, and open minded, always listening. When his rider Seleena refuses to listen, he takes it upon himself to make sure that she remembers her place and her lessons and make sure she remains protected from harm.  

         Scorchlight also stands out with his rider as the only pairing to face and kill the Dark Corps commanders Galadren and Shrike. What makes the battle more incredible is the fact that despite being only a year old and barely 30 feet long, Scorchlight managed to tear the heart from the chest of the larger and more experienced Shrike, killing him as his rider killed Galadren in the same stroke. In addition to this, Scorchlight has a unique ability extremely rare to dragons; he can use ice as a breath weapon. Inherited from his long-deceased parents, Scorchlight can use both flames and ice in addition to magic to attack and defend, abilities that will serve him well in the rest of his life.
