A magnificent dragon some 120 feet long, Thorinen is green with black edges to his scales and frills, and is a member of the Dragon Rider High Council along with his half-elf partner, Kaine. As smart, skilled and resourceful as his partner, Thorinen is a Staunch believer in freedom and equality, looking upon any breaking of the dragon rider code with scorn, (even threatening to fight another dragon to the death when he began resorting to racism). when not in battle, he is kind and generous, no more fearsome than a domestic cat. he longs for the day the war with Deltthion can be over, as he and Eonan lost their father to Deltthion's machinations.

Thorinen's beloved mate, Ninharpa is the daughter of a dragon artisan, and is herself a fine jewel smith. she is partnered to Ilaina, Kaine's wife. supportive of almost every decision her mate may make, she is a bubbling personality and a ferocious enemy in battle. though Thorinen is conscientious about it, she longs to have hatchlings with him after the end of the war, ignoring his irrational fear of stepping on his progenies.
